Hungary 1954 World Cup Final uniform When England went hunting for revenge following the 6-3 drubbing at Wembley this is the uniform that awaited them in Budapest in 1954. A v-necked design, it made England, the supposed teachers of the international game, appear out-dated in their traditional starched button up shirts and also brought about a new way of thinking at FA offices where a new v-neck design for the England national top was instituted following the national team's 7-1 defeat and return to London. This uniform is short sleeved and made from knitted cotton.
