In 1986 Ireland had a new top and a new manager in what was a milestone year for the FAI. This top was worn in Jack Chalrton's first match day as manager, and was worn by great players John Aldridge and Paul McGrath. In 1987 Ireland beat Brazil 1-0 wearing this top.
